Several months ago I received an email from Lauren saying she was coming down from Iowa to visit her fiance who lives on the outskirts of San Antonio for the holidays and she wanted to take their engagement photos downtown. I was ecstatic! Of course any engagement session rocks my socks because I love love, but when it's for someone who's coming into San Antonio from another STATE, well that just gets me even MORE excited. After back and forth emails between Lauren and I for months, planning, chatting about clothes, and all the fun details, it was so great to finally meet her and her super cute beau. They were the nicest couple ever, and though not native Texans, they will fit RIGHT in once they are both here permanently after they get married. We had such a great time wondering around downtown San Antonio, on the riverwalk, moving around crowds and even stopping traffic for their session. I could have photographed Ryan and Lauren for hours! I must admit I'm way jealous of the wedding photographer who will have the honor and joy of capturing Ryan and Lauren's big day in Iowa over the summer, but it makes me feel better knowing one: I was able to capture their story at all and two: that they will be living in San Antonio after they get married so once the little ones come along I get the honors of documenting their future growing family. Take THAT wedding photographer of Ryan and Lauren! haha, I kid. ;) Thank you both for such a great time during your engagement session! I wish you nothing but the best and look forward to our many more sessions to come... PS. I will be adding IOWA on my vision board. I hope to one day travel up to Iowa with you to take photos for SOMETHING because well the idea of those beautiful open fields make me swoon! <3
