San Antonio Wedding Photographers / River Crossing Country Club Wedding / Vanessa and Zach

My last wedding of 2012 was a wonderful cherry on top of an amazing year. I was so excited for Zach and Vanessa and after our super fun engagement session this past summer, I just knew their wedding was going to be an awesome day! And I was so right; I love it when that happens. The simplicity of their wedding was just fabulous. They didn't have a full blown reception, just an intimate ceremony and a beautiful dinner with their closest family and a few close friends. Their reception was held in a lovely location at the River Crossing Country Club which was appropriately decorated already for the holidays in their wedding colors of blues and silvers, love, loved it! Vanessa looked radiant and Zach, though a quiet guy was grinning from ear to ear almost all day and night. I love, love the way he looks at her - the mother of his beautiful son and now his beautiful bride! Grooms are easily my favorite people to watch on wedding days because their hearts are  wide open, so full of love, so vulnerable in the best ways, and they show an emotional side of happiness and tenderness that on any other day is usually tucked away. It's the BEST thing to be around. :) Vanessa and Zach left so much time during their day for their wedding portraits, and I couldn't be more grateful for that because it allowed us to capture so many fun images of them with their bridal party as well as intimate photos of the two of them. Zach is a fireman, so we HAD to play with fire - ok maybe they were just sparklers, but I'm a chicken and so it was a thrill for me! These are images I'm sure they'll always cherish and I'm thrilled an honored to have been a part of their special day. Congrats Zach and Vanessa! I wish you nothing but the best in the start of your wonderful lives together... <3

I couldn't get enough of Vanessa's handmade broach bouquet that she made herself! Just beautiful...
